Island Rescue Service

The Isle of Wight now offers a twenty-four hour Land Rover rescue and pick-up service for the safety and convenience of the Island’s visitors and holiday makers who come over to enjoy the stunning countryside and extreme sports activities. This unique service, Wild Horses  is available to walkers and their dogs; cyclists and their bikes; surfers and their boards and any other fresh air activity. This robust vehicle can carry up to four passengers and comes with the advantage of a heavy duty roof rack, a massive waterproof space in the back, waterproof covered seats and a licence to tow. So whatever your plans, you can be secure in the knowledge that should you be lost, stranded, injured or just out of energy, especially if you’ve got young kids, you’re just one phone call away from a safe journey back to your hotel/campsite….but that’s not all….

It doesn’t have to be an emergency or a rescue; why not book in advance and organise your outings before you arrive! We will collected you from the ferry (so no need to bring a car) and transport you by Land Rover to your hotel/campsite. Four people works out cheaper than a bus and a lot more fun than a taxi.

The Isle of Wight offers many beautiful walks and cycle rides but not all the routes take you back to the beginning. They are not all circular routes.

Our main objective is to ensure that you arrive in good spirits at the beginning of your chosen walk or cycle route, safe in the knowledge that you can be picked up at the end! We can pick you up from pubs, landmarks and off-road locations.

We also run as a glorified porter! We can relieve you of your luggage and deposit it back at your hotel/campsite so you are free to walk or cycle clobber free.
